Movie Review: A Blood Story

A group of douche bags (seemingly) come together in honor of the fountain of youth. Apparently this get-together happens annually. There's a model-turned-writer named Madison who had a psycho ex-husband. He murdered a girl and carved "I Heart You" in her back for Madison, the girlfriend to find. Madison is the main POV of the movie and the only one that really matters.

A young girl is chained up and whipped as the others watch and drink her blood. Madison wakes up in a tub of blood, but she likes it. A mummy-looking woman appears to Madison as she sleeps. If I hadn't IMDB'd this movie, I never would have guessed that the mummy was supposed to be Elizabeth Bathory.

One of the men there, Wade, the real scumball, decides to steal some coins and is caught. Madison picks up one of the coins, but if found. Carter, the other guy, who's actually pretty nice, finds Madison sleeping under his bed. He asks about her scars, but she doesn't answer.

The trip ends and Madison seeks out Carter to start up a heist. She starts the conversation her theory about the coin and their hosts being hundreds of years old. They decide to have a blood orgy to do... something. I don't know. Madison just keeps talking about blood and blood and more blood. They go back to the annual shindig.

Elizabeth Bathory appears to Madison, telling her they're one in the same. She shocks Madison, who promptly faints and ruins the fun for everyone. Flashback to Elizabeth proves Madison's theory.

Somewhere throughout the movie, Madison falls for Carter and he tells her he wishes he could give her his heart, but when his wife died, it was ripped out. While she's having her blood bath, a severed hand is dropped onto her shoulder. Madison's been caught. Carter gets his heart literally ripped out.

Elizabeth Bathory shows up, not nearly as scary nor young as she should be, or even as noble-born-ish. Madison tells her she's not afraid and she wants her to take her. Elizabeth feeds on Madison but something in her blood kills her - re-kills her?

Moral of this movie: Blood orgies are dangerous.
