My New Obsession

Ummmm.... I have a new obsession. His name is Lucifer. No, I'm not becoming a Satanist or getting into any religion. I am obsessed with a show on FOX called Lucifer. It's amazing and I love every second of it.

This sexy beast is Tom Ellis. He plays the titular role and is fabulous. He's menacing and charming, dark and light, funny and scary. Lucifer Morningstar has decided to take a break from being ruler of Hell for a while and is known as a very successful club owner in LA. He has the ability to pull the deepest desires out of people, making it nearly impossible to deny him. He's torn is wings away and is being persuaded back to his post by his angel brother Amenadiel.

Lucifer becomes intrigued by a human detective named Chloe Decker, played by Lauren German. She's a good detective, but after accusing a fellow cop of being dirty after he's shot in the line of duty, she has become a pariah. Her ex-husband and the father of her daughter is also a detective. They first encounter each other when she shows up at the scene of a homicide of a famous singer, who got help in her career from Lucifer. The girl was shot while hugging Lucifer so he's questioned by Detective Decker. While being questioned, he recognizes her as an actress in a B-movie he saw once where she was in a nude scene.

Amenadiel is a no-nonsense angel who has been sent to coax Lucifer back to his post. He's played by DB Woodside. In order to get closer to Lucifer, he portrays himself as a therapist to become buds with his therapist Kim Martin. With every episode he becomes less patient with Lucifer.

Maze, played by Lesley-Ann Brandt, is a demon who is Lucifer's bodyguard / partner in crime. She swings both ways and often, loving sex and violence. She doesn't like Chloe or anyone else who distracts Lucifer from the fact that he is in fact Lucifer. She actively agrees with Amenadiel's attempts to get Lucifer back to Hell.

One of the clients of therapist Linda Martin, played by Rachael Harris, had been the famous singer in the first episode. When Chloe and Lucifer go to speak to her, Doc Martin falls for Lucifer's charms hook, line, and sinker. They begin a symbiotic relationship.
