Your Home Has Been Breached | Purge Spoiler Review #3
Jenna and Lila are making out some more. I is happy. Jenna stops them and confesses she's pregnant. My immediate thought was, "Is it hers???" I grew up watching General Hospital and WWE, that's a legitimate possibility in my mind.
Penelope is tasked by Tavis to "inspire" her fellow... I can't remember what they're called. She clearly isn't feeling it anymore and of course, that is also the time when Tavis - or the powers-that-be - chooses her as the next one to sacrifice herself.
Miguel has found Pete the Cop. When Pete finds out that Miguel is the guy who won the Gauntlet and won the Chevelle, he's suddenly very interested in helping him. On Pete's many security cameras, Miguel spots the blue school. Pete explains that the route is the same every year for the bus, a peace sign. Coincidentally Pete finds this out and bonds with Miguel all while Penelope is stalling her walk off of the bus.
Jenna's husband, who I still don't need here, is meeting with Lila's father, a very high-up member of the NFFA. They want to build a housing development or something like that so, they need a hefty investment. He offers them a deal. Everything's all good right up until two men drag a man into the room.
David, Jane's boss, calls them, proving he's still alive. Someone knocks on his door and I'm like, "Oh, here it comes! He's going to get ganked right on video call." Nope, nothing happened. Boo!
Miguel is picked up by two guys in a van who were sent by Pete. They're freelance press, documenting what really goes down on Purge Night. They find the bus for him, but conveniently for the show, they can't get him very close to it. They drop him off on the outskirts of a "shitstorm".
Oh, my glob! Jenna and Rick are in the meeting with NFFA guy and he brings the guy in. I start freaking out because I realize that Jenna and Rick are staunchly against the Purge and the NFFA. Lila's dad is going to find out when they don't want the guy to be killed and then he's not going to do the deal with them or worse and it's just.... I started freaking out. Lila's dad - who has a name, I just don't want to look it up right now - makes Rick take the gun. Jenna speaks up and tells him that "we don't do this". NFFA guy is all cool about it, his wife plans the parties so, he doesn't stick his foot in his mouth politically. "Well, first one of the night" and shoots the guy. Obviously, Jenna is a bit disturbed and tries to leave the party.
Oh, my glob! Jane realizes that her two coworkers are missing. She goes outside of the protected zone and finds that her female coworker, the one who'd found the information on her laptop, has stabbed and killed her other coworker.
Penelope walks off the bus, repeating "I am not afraid" - words her mom had said right before she was killed right in front of her and Miguel. A group of people dressed like nuns at a rave throw a sack over her head and take her.
This show continues to be serendipitous as Miguel asks the nuns where the bus is and then finds the bus, only to be told by Tavis that Penelope was taken by the nuns.
Joe. I love Joe so much. He goes into the house that he saw someone breaking into and kills the intruders. "Your home has been breached. Come with me." And then takes the nice lady onto his converted UPS truck and drives away.
