When Nyla first appeared in Vanity, she had the effect of a tidal wave. She was subconciously inspired by Rachel Miner's depiction of Meg Masters on Supernatural. I just loved the way she talked, walked, and just overall carried herself.

She was a classic beauty with a sensuality that made men pay money just to hear a voice and drool.

Sarah has overcome a lot and has been with men and women. She's been with some of the most beautiful, most powerful people in the supe community, but none of them ever knocked her on her ass like Nyla Sorobi. The djinn turns Sarah into a babbling fool from the very moment she sees her.

Nyla works as a bartender at Vanity's Valley. She always has a pitcher of something that Catahecassa says tastes like fruit punch and ice tea at the same time. Sarah explains to him that it's an elixir that turns people into vegetables because Nyla doesn't like to feed from people that struggle.

Nyla is very private and most people don't know that the djinns even exist, let alone that their Queen is a bartender at the local strip joint.

After Nyla is kidnapped from Vanity's Valley, Sarah has to explain to Smoky and her Guard that if Nyla were dead, she'd know it because of the throln, a mark on Sarah's hip that works to bind a life to another. Nyla had binded herself to Sarah after Paul Levesque's maker, Tiffany Spader nearly killed her. Nyla made it possible for Sarah to regain enough strength to get out of that situation.

Sarah and Nyla's relationship is wonderful. Nyla is probably Sarah's best friend - best woman friend. I can't say for sure, but in my opinion, Sarah and Nyla would be friends even if it weren't for the throln. They genuinely care about each other and enjoy each other's company. I don't think there's anything Nyla wouldn't do for Sarah and that's something that's surprisingly rare in Sarah's life.
